Dr K. Thirumurthi

Dr Thirumurthi, 51, has over 27 years of industry experience and will be responsible for directing MatrixView’s strategic technology initiatives and guiding application development to support the Company’s aggressive growth plans.

Dr Thirumurthi undertook medical training in India and Ireland and developed a distinguished career in these countries, as well as leading research teams in the United States conducting SPECT and PET studies.
He was previously with Siemens USA, where he was Member for Development of the New Gamma Camera. He has also established and owned two research facilities at Chennai and Pondicherry, India which operate two SPECT Gamma Cameras for whole body imaging. These facilities conduct between 300 and 350 studies per month. Dr Thirumurthi was also responsible for the development of nuclear medicine departments at five hospitals or institutes in Madras, Puttaparthi, Chennai and Pondicherry. Dr Thirumurthi is an experienced academic in the fields of medicine, radiology and nuclear medicine. His research has been published in national and international medical journals and through papers presented at medical conferences in India and U.K. He is founding member of the Indian College of Nuclear Medicine and the Association of Nuclear Medicine Physicians of India and is a life member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, India.

David VAN ECK

Mr van Eck is based in Singapore and brings over 20 years of healthcare experience, encompassing international sales, marketing, clinical information systems implementations and client services. He is an industry-recognized expert in optimizing operational effectiveness and improving client satisfactions within healthcare IT and medical technology organizations. Mr van Eck earned his Bachelors degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland and is a member of the Singapore Institute of Management.

Mr van Eck is presently the executive in charge of Elekta AB’s advanced radiation oncology business in Asia. He is responsible for Elekta’s operations across Asia, including new business development, product sales and marketing, installation, consulting and client services. Prior to joining Elekta, Mr van Eck was the Asia Pacific Director of Healthcare at Oracle and responsiblefor healthcare operations across 18 Asia Pacific markets.

Kin CHUA

Mr Chua is co-founder and Senior Partner of Biomedical Strategy Consultants Pte Ltd, a global consulting and investment advisory firm serving the biotech and medical technology industry.

Mr Chua has more than 24 years of experience in senior financial, sales, marketing and general management positions. He spent over 18 years in the medical devices and equipment industry, most recently as President Asia Pacific for Mallinckrodt Inc.
With an outstanding track record of building sales, service and distribution infrastructures in Asia, Mr Chua has previously held the positions of Vice President Emerging Markets for Nellcor Puritan Bennett and General Manager Hewlett-Packard, Asia Pacific Medical Products Group (now a unit of Philips Medical).
He has lived and worked in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Canada and the USA.
He has a Masters in Business Administration from McGill University, Canada and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from Concordia University, Canada.

Prof Jayaram MUTHUSWAMY

Prof Muthuswamy is currently an Associate Professor of Finance at the School of Business, Faculty of Economics, University of Sydney, Australia. He was previously an Associate Professor of Finance at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University in the United States, and a Senior Lecturer at the National Universityof Singapore.

From 1993–1998, Prof Muthuswamy was programme director for the Wharton–NUS Banking and Risk Management Programme, a high-level executive banking course designed for bankers in the Asia Pacific Region. He has also conducted executive courses in derivatives for institutions such as SIMEX, Rabo Bank, Ernst and Young, The Institute of Banking and Finance (Singapore), and has been a derivatives consultant to the Union Bankof Switzerland.

An Asia Foundation Scholar, Prof Muthuswamy holds an undergraduate degree in Mathematical Economics and Statistics from the London School of Economics, a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Actuarial Science from Wharton School, an MS in Statistics from Stanford University, and a PhD in Finance from the University of Chicago.
